If you are the owner of several websites then multiple domainhosting could help your significantly reduce your hosting costs.Multiple domain hosting allows you to host more than one websiteon a single hosting account.Allowing you to have many websiteswhile only paying for one. Generally you don’t purchase a website you purchase a hostingaccount. In some cases this hosting account can only be used tohost a single domain and hence a single website. In others theaccount can be used to host multiple domains and hence multiplewebsites. There are of course both advantages and disadvantages of hostingseveral domains on a single hosting account. The main advantageis, of course, the cost. Because domains are much cheaper thanwebsite hosting accounts choosing an account that offer multipledomain hosting is a far cheaper way of hosting multiple websitesthan purchasing a hosting account for each website. As an example: Take a hosting provider that offers a simplehosting package for approx 70 per year and uk domains forapprox 2.00 per year.To host four websites using:a) Separate accounts the cost is: 70 *4 + 4*2= 288 per yearb) A single account and multiple domains the cost is: 70 + 2.0*4=78 per year. The saving is 210 per year. The disadvantages are that traffic for each site is usuallycounted together against the single hosting account and if yourwebsites are popular then you may exceed bandwidth and or diskspace limits. In addition you may find that the log files that are provideddon’t allow you to differentiate between the domains as all thetraffic is counted against a single domain. The Hosting account has a single password and hence once loggedin you can administer each domain. Therefore each domain shouldbelong to you.So who needs multiple domain hosting? Well anyone who requiresmultiple websites with their own distinct domain name shouldconsider this type of hosting account. If you only intend to host a single domain or website then youshouldn’t discard the idea; as in many cases they are usually nomore expensive than single domain hosting solutions. Because ofthe popularity of mini websites and website reselling there aremany hosting companies that specialize in providing multipledomain hosting and offer substantial discounts depending on thenumber of domains you intend to host.Multiple domain hosting has the potential to significantlyreduce your hosting costs, but as is the case for choosing anyhosting provider, you should be aware of what other websiteservices you require and choose your hosting provideraccordingly. Don’t just go for the cheapest or the one that provides themost services!

Virtual Hosting is the perfect solution for those who haveoutgrown sharedhosting but don’t have the budget to go for dedicated serverhosting. Virtual hosting offers affordable hosting plans andsolutions for affordable domain hosting. Virtual hosting is known by different names such as VPS Server,VPS Root, VPS Server, VDS, Virtual Dedicated Server, and VirtualShared Server. Virtual hosting provides more control than theshared hosting but helps one to save money on net working andadministration.Virtual hosting is the perfect choice as the hosting solutionfor the resellers who can host multiple sites and can haveadvanced administration capabilities through an easy-to-usecontrol panel, plus the ability to set up and manage FTP andshell users. Virtual hosting provides you with the benefits of complete rootaccess, total privacy and security, the ability to installcustom software applications, build customized Web site hostingplans and host unlimited Web sites, which can all be managedeasily from a single control panel interface. A shared hosting environment has hundreds of web accounts hostedon the same server and share the same operating system andapplications, whereas the Virtual Private Server (VPS) is asingle dedicated server which has different compartments formultiple isolated servers. Each virtual server performs muchlike a single dedicated server, complete with root access andthe ability to install programs of your choosing. A PrivateServer is much like having your own dedicated server, but at amuch more affordable price. The VPS technology allows for configuration of disk and networkspace in a way that each VPS has its own operating system andcan have almost the same power as the full server. VPS hostingenvironment provides customers with their own private Unixvirtual machine. Each VPS is a private and protected area thatoperates as an independent server. The beauty of VPS technologylies in creating multiple isolated Virtual Servers on a singlephysical server to share hardware, licenses and managementeffort with maximum efficiency. Each VPS performs and executes exactly like a stand-alone serverfor its users and applications as it can be rebootedindependently and has its own root access, users, IP addresses, memory, processes, files, applications, system libraries andconfiguration files.VPS is affordable because multiple customers share the expenseof hardware and network connections (and completely eliminatethe hassle of maintaining it all) without sacrificingperformance or the freedom to run whatever software you choose. The optimum sharing of resources has been made possible onlythrough the innovative technology which allows for sharing ofthe hardware without the obligation to share the software. Thisis the secret behind the technology that allows the VirtualPrivate Server (root server) to provide the key benefits of a’broadband’ dedicated server hosting in a shared environment ata fraction of the cost without the hassles to maintain it.Each VPS performs and executes exactly like a stand-alone serverfor its users and applications as it can be rebootedindependently and has its own root access, users, IP addresses, memory, processes, files, applications, system libraries andconfiguration files. Features that virtual servers offer *Own processes, users, fileswith full root access *Separate IP addresses, port numbers, tables, filtering and routing rules *Own system configurationfiles *Application Database: MySQL (Default), PostgreSQL(available) *Its own versions of system libraries and facilityto modify existing ones ServerPlexNetworks is a worldwide web hosting service providerfocusing on affordable web hosting solutions. The virtual webhosting is one of its affordable end-to-end solutions that caterto a growing web hostingreseller base throughout the world.

Web hosting market is very competitive. The competition isbecoming more and more aggressive every day. Web hosts areoffering wide range of attractive plans. Some web hosts usemarketing tricks to attract (or sometimes deceive) customers. How to avoid this situation? Read Terms and Conditions A lot of customers ignorereading the details of host’s terms and conditions. They dependon the brief and attractive write up of the hosting plan. Mostweb hosts are able to deceive customers because of this. Toavoid being tricked or deceived by these marketing tricks, takeyour time reading the terms and conditions carefully. Unlimited Space and Bandwidth A lot of hosts offer”unlimited” space and/or bandwidth in their plans. This is themost widely used marketing trick. In reality, there is no such”unlimited” space or bandwidth. Any person with a littlebackground about web hosting must know that a web host isactually a computer, similar to the PC you are using now. Nomatter how powerful the web host is, its hard drive space islimited, and it can only transfer limited amount of data duringa given period of time. Whenever you see a hosting plan offering “unlimited” featuresyou must remember it’s not real. This, however, does not alwaysmean that those hosts are bad. First thing you should do is toread their terms and condition. If they claim they are providing”unlimited” features without any conditions then avoidregistering with them, they are lying to you. Most hosts that offer “unlimited” space and bandwidth will putrestrictions on some file types and sizes. For example, theywill disallow you to put video, audio or executable files onyour site. In other cases they will allow any file type givenit’s not exceeding certain size (e.g. 500KB). Sometimes they usea generic condition to prevent consuming their resources. Anexample condition will be: “we may find a customer to be usingserver resources to such an extent that he or she may jeopardizeserver performance and resources for other customers. In suchinstances, we reserve the right to suspend that siteimmediately”. Unmetered Space and Bandwidth The term “unmetered” iscloser to reality. They imply to you that the offeredspace/bandwidth is limited but not watched. This is, however, not 100% true. It’s just another way to attract you to theirplans. In most cases terms and conditions will be more or lesssimilar to those of “unlimited” space and bandwidth. Unlimited Websites Or sometimes it’s called “unlimiteddomains”. This probably is the most honest marketing phrase, although it’s sometimes confuses nave customers. It simplymeans that you can point as many domain names as you want aslong as you are within the space and bandwidth limits. This isgood if you plan to have more than one website, but if you areintending to build only a single website then you do not needthis feature. $1 hosting plan Sometimes you might see a hosting planthat offer plenty of space and bandwidth (usually cost $10 ormore) for very low prices such as $2 or less. This is not amarketing trick, because you will get the space and bandwidthstated in the plan, but you should not expect the same level ofsupport and reliability. Cheaper web host usually means morecustomers sharing the same server, which means less performanceand reliability. Uptime A lot of hosting companies claim their servers’uptimes are 99.99%, while in reality they are not. You can testthis by using an uptime monitoring service for a week or two. Some websites (such as netcraft) provide free monitoring for alist of hosts. These are some of the tricks used to attract customers, ofcourse there are more. Reading terms and conditions carefully, reading customer reviews and consulting experts will help youavoid being deceived by these tricks.

So you found a perfect domain name that was not already taken, figured out how to register it, paid for hosting (leasing spaceto store all the files that will be publicly accessed as webpages) with a WHP – aka Web Hosting Provider (such asbsleek.com) and even uploaded your website to the WHP’s servers,or had a professional design firm create a web site for you.Alas, it looks like the results of your hard work, of your moneyspending and of the headaches you got from trying to make senseof all the technobabble were in vain? Why can’t you see yourwebsite instantly – after all, isn’t this the promise of thee-commerce age?? Hey, when they took your credit card payment, that went pretty fast!! Is it that nobody really cares aboutcustomer service anymore? And what is this “propagation”nonsense those techies are trying to bamboozle you with?Is your new Web Host Provider a lemon? Did you make a bigmistake choosing it??All this has to be very frustrating, unless you understandexactly how things work. Over the next few paragraphs, I willtry to demystify the DNS propagation process, by telling you inplain English, what DNS propagation is, how it works, and why isit that the only thing we can do to speed the process up is….wait.DNS stands for Domain Name Server. I know the word Server isintimidating and you are thinking “oh sure, another articlewritten in technicalese language”. Think of a server as aregular computer, like the one you are using now to read this. That’s right! Your beloved computer can be a server too. We calla computer a server when that machine is up and running andproviding a service (”serving” something, whether a web page, atext document, etc.)With the language barrier lowered, I will tell you that DNS canbe tricky, especially when first registering a domain name ortransferring your website to a web hosting provider. Thestrangest things can happen that would lead you to believe thatyour new web hosting provider is at fault.99.99% of the time the Web Hosting Provider is not to blame andI will explain why. There are a number of things involved in DNS that I willfamiliarize you with. Sorry, but it has to be done. Again, likeeverything else in life, once you understand how things work, things will look much brighter.Things you need to hear about are:- IP Addresses – Service Providers – Domain Names – Domain NameRegistrars – DNS – The Propagation Process 1. IP AddressesOur computers talk to each other by identifying themselves usingnumerical addresses much like the address on your home or foryour telephone. When one computer wants to speak to anothercomputer, it all boils down to an address or what we call an “IPAddress”.Here is an example: 64.247.43.26As you would imagine, the number of possible addresses, whileimmense to the untrained eye, is actually limited and we arealmost on the verge of exhausting all the numbers…. Here’s apiece of trivia for all interested in cool facts: Typically, service providers (see below) receive thousands of IP addressesto be used on their networks. IP addresses in the United Statesare assigned by ARIN, the American Registry for InternetNumbers. They are the assigned numbers authority and theycontrol who gets IP addresses in the US. 2. Service ProvidersThe service providers will use IP addresses to identify theirnetwork equipment so that they can conduct business on theinternet. There are many different types of service providers but for thepurpose of this article, I will only discuss two of them. The ISP (or Internet Service Provider) is the company thatprovides you with access to the internet. Without them, youwould not be able to send email or surf the world wide web. Whenyou connect to your ISP, they will assign your computer one oftheir IP addresses. This IP address will be used to identifyyour computer while you are connected to the internet. The WHP (or Web Host Provider, such as bsleek.com) is a companythat provides a means for individuals or businesses to publish awebsite on the internet. When the website is published, it isplaced on a special computer known as a server that is connectedto the internet via a high-speed connection. The WHP has alreadyassigned this server one of their IP addresses. Now, let’s summarize what we have learned so far by looking at atypical internet users experience:Let’s say that you want to surf your newly published website. You connect to the internet and your computer gets an IP address(much like a phone number, a license plate, etc) from your ISP.You then open up your web browser and type in your website’sdomain name: yourdomain.com.Then you hit enter. Your computer sends a request. That requestis blasted across the internet jumping through routers andgateways, across wires and beamed to satellites and back down toEarth again. After traveling several thousand miles in just afew milliseconds, it finally arrives at your WHP’s web serverbecause it contains the IP address of the computer you arelooking for.The server then responds by sending a copy of the website’s homepage back to your computer because it knows the IP address ofthe computer that made the request. You are now looking at yourpublished home page in merely a few seconds and being proud ofthe pretty colors you picked for your menu buttons. How did this all happen? Read on: 3. Domain Names.A domain name is what you typically enter into your web browserwhen you want to visit a website. We also use them when sendingemail.Website: www.yourdomain.com / Email: user@yourdomain.comDomain names provide a fast and convenient way of reaching ourfavorite websites and sending email to each other. It is easy toremember the name of a friend’s website or a company that youlike to shop with rather than trying to remember a number like:64.247.43.26What are we missing here? The mechanism that translates numbersinto names (that is, IP addresses into domain names) and viceversa. Suspense…. 4. Domain Name RegistrarIf you want to have your own domain name you will need toregister one through a company called a Domain Name Registrar. The domain registrar has tools that allow you to search for andregister an available domain of your choosing. The registrar ismore or less at the top of the whole naming scheme chain. If you were able to read this far and even stay focus, congratulations – you ar a very determined individual. And now,as a reward for reading this much of my article, I will talkabout… DNS, which is the topic you came here to read about inthe first place. 5. DNSDNS is a software program that runs on a dedicated computerknown as a DNS server. DNS serves two primary functions:1) To translate domain names into IP addresses. It’s much easier to remember a domain like mydomain.com than asixteen digit number like 64.247.43.26. DNS servers maketranslating or “Resolving” this information fast and seamless. When your computer needs to know the IP address foryourdomain.com it asks a DNS server (usually the one provided byyour ISP.)2) To act as authority for designated domain names.Wherever you decide to host your website, the network you are onmust have its own DNS servers. In fact, it is an industry-widestandard to have at least two DNS servers or more. These serverswill act as the authority for your domain name because yournetwork provider will put a special entry in their DNS server asit relates to your domain name that says: YOU ARE HERE!Technically this is known as an “A” record for “Authority”.There are literally hundreds of thousands of these DNS machinesworld wide. They ARE the yellow pages of the internet and theycontain information about your domain name. Keep in mind that nosingle DNS server holds all the domain names for the internet;they only hold the names that they are responsible for, and afew pointers to find the rest. Some DNS servers strictly store names while others are doing thework of providing lookup services for computers that need tolook up names. Many DNS servers do both. Technically, the serverthat is responsible for a particular domain is called the”Authority”. Remember the “A” record? There are a few pieces of crucial information stored in a DNSserver with regard to your domain name. This information as awhole is known as your “DNS Record”. In it you can find avariety of other pieces of information (or records) about yourdomain name. For the purposes of not altering your sanity, inthis article I will focus only on the domain name, the ‘A’record (or your WHP’s DNS servers). 6. The Propagation ProcessAs I said before, your domain registrar is the one responsiblefor publishing your domain name at the very first (called root)DNS level. When it is published, it is placed into a directorythat is broadcast out to primary DNS servers around the world. The primary DNS servers broadcast out to secondary DNS serversand so on and so forth. This process is known as propagation and it can take upwards of72 hours to complete. Propagation refers to the amount of timeit takes for all the DNS servers everywhere around the world torecognize the fact that either a new domain is being registered,a domain name has been changed, or that the authority for thatdomain has changed.Other reasons why it takes so long is obviously the size of ourplanet and the total number of DNS servers that require updatedinformation. DNS servers are always updating themselves andchanging dynamically during the course of any given day. When orwhy one DNS server will receive updated information beforeanother is a complete mystery – really! In most cases, your DNS propagation will complete well withinthe 72 hour period but you can’t be sure that everything is fineuntil you wait out the 72 hours! Once propagation is complete, anyone, anywhere on the internet should be able to visit yourhosted website.During that time you may experience strange occurrences. This isbecause not every DNS server that needs to know, knows aboutyour domain name. Take your ISP for example. They use two DNSservers, well, 24 hours after making your nameserver changes, only one of your ISP’s DNS servers might receive the updateregarding your domain name and the other might not.If only one of these servers can resolve your domain to an IPaddress and the other can not, what you will experience would beas though your website was going up and down. One moment it isthere, the next it is not. Here is another example:A friend of yours can see your new website and you can not. Thisis most likely because his ISP’s DNS servers are able to get theinformation at that time, where your ISP’s DNS servers cannot.and wait another 72 hours. Ouch! Here is a neat one:You are transferring your hosting to a new WHP. Duringpropagation you are working on development of some pages in yourwebsite. But you notice that when trying to view your mostrecent changes, they appear and then vanish or they don’t appearat all.Think about the load-balancing DNS servers again. One server hasinformation about your OLD WHP and the other has informationabout your NEW WHP! This can be a weird experience and may takesome time to figure out. What you really need to do is WAIT OUTTHE 72 HOURS!You see, if you avoid making changes to your website during atransfer/propagation period, you will always have a consistentfunctional website available to your visitors. They won’t knowthat you have switched WHP’s because as far as they can tell, they are just browsing your website. They won’t realize that youare in a state of propagation and that from one minute to thenext, they are potentially browsing your site from two differentWHPs.All of these occurrences are very common and each one of themwill result in a phone call to the WHP asking why the server isgoing up and down. In reality the server is fine and your WSP isone of the finest. The problem is that the domain owner has notlet 72 hours pass by, after which these and other similarproblems will have vanished. So as you can see, your Web Service Provider is not at fault, you just must have patience and wait the full three days beforeyou can try to determine if your website is experiencing aproblem or not.

This article is based on a true experience that took place withmy web host. I am not here to blame or try to give my web host abad name, I am here to review web host, that makes sense to youwhen it comes to choosing a web host provider that is right foryour business. All web host are created equal in my eyes, that is, or that usedto be, until I got shut down without warning. It was very hardfor me to understand how I could start a new website fromscratch and eat up 40 Gigs of bandwidth in that short apan oftime (3 months, and I was shut down). You should review web host, before you make a choice. Theproblem online today is how can you make a sound web host reviewwith all the thousands out there. It is impossible to review the thousands of web host out there, but it is in your best interest if you just review web host thatare in high demand. Many of the top marketers have their ownserver, and you can’t afford to pay $200 or more monthly foryour own server. For you to prvent web host shut down, you will have to learn howto use the forums to find recommendation for choosing your webhosting provider. I didn’t do my own research and that is whywhy web host shut me down without notice. After being shut down, I went to two of my favorite forums andread a couple of post regarding my hosting company, and realizedthat no one had any great experiences with said company. Theygave poor web host review grades for that host, well life is alearning process, and I know what not to do when choosing a webhosting povider. Here are my four tips you should follow to review any web host:1) Don’t ever go for unlimited domain names. One other pointworth mentioning, don’t ever go for unlimited domain names, whenever you create a new account they automatically divide upyour hosting bandwith. That menas that if you have just 40 Gigof bandwith and you divide it up by four domain names, you haveallready used up all your bandwith. So, any other new domain name you add will make you exceed yourbandwidth, please understand I am just showing you the rip offsthat takes place with some low cost web hosting providers. Theysay that they will warn you when your exceeding your bandwidth, but they just never do. They make you pay extra for unlimiteddomain names, but you being new to the Internet, you won’t everneed more than three to six domain names to get you started.2) Don’t go with any hosting company that requires the fullamount up front. They offer low cost web hosting if you pay theyearly price up front. Well, once you have paid for the year, you are tied to this comapny, should their service be notworthy, you will loose your initial yearly payment. Go with acompany that has a 3 month or monthly payment plan, with a moneyback guarantee.3) Test by sending a simple email to your web host first. Justsend off a simple email telling your webhost that yourinterested in their hosting, this is a must for you to reviewweb host that are unknown. The response time to your email willlet you know what type of service they offer.4) Ask for a charge back As you know, the client is supposed tobe king, keep all your receipts in place, and should you ever beshut down by your web host after paying a yearly plan, just goto your credit card provider and file a complaint for a refund.Don’t let anyone scam you out of your money. The final conclusion, your the one to blame if you get scammed,so make sure you follow my review web host tips before handingout your credit card.

Copyright 2005 Dean ShaininThere are many important aspects to consider with web hostingservices and plans. Choosing the wrong web hosting plan cancause a real problem down the road with your business. This inturn, can cost your business lost customers and sales. If youtake some time to compare the different options available toyou, and to see what is the best web hosting plan for yoursituation, it can help you in the long run.Are You Going To Have A Personal Home Page Or A Business SiteHosted? The first thing you may want to consider with the web hostingservice is the type of website you are going to have hosted. Asmall business may not need the options that come with largerhosting plans. On the other hand, if you are going to plan onhaving a large ecommerce site hosted, you may want all the bellsand whistles that are provided from some web hosting services. When you have decided on what type of website you will havehosted, you can then figure how to compare the web hostingservices and plans. How Much Data Transfer And Disk Space Is Offered From The WebHosting PlanSome of the aspects you will want to compare are the disk spaceand bandwidth to see if the hosting plan can handle the datatransfer from your business promotions that can cause largeamounts of traffic. On the other hand, if you have a simple homepage you will not need much disk space and bandwidth. Only youcan decide on what you will really need from the web hostingservice, options and plans that are offered.Aspects To Consider For Your Web Hosting NeedsSome of the aspects of the web hosting service you may want toconsider are, the cost and fees, customer support, controlpanel, POP email accounts, FTP transfer limits and if you haveunlimited space transfer.Web Hosting Costs And Possible Setup Fees? When you compare the cost of the web hosting plan, be sure youunderstand what the costs are, before you sign up. Make sure youknow what the setup fees might be, if any. What About Customer Support From The Web Hosting Company?Customer support is very important because you don’t want yoursite or sites down for long periods of time. Be sure to see ifthey offer 24 hours a day customer support and what experiencethey have with customers in the past. You can easily check withthe BBB to see how the web hosting company rates with customerservice. This simple consideration can help save you fromhassles and lost revenue. Is A Control Panel Available? Some people do not have much experience with web hosting controlpanels. You may want to see what type of control panel the webhosting service offers to see if it is user friendly and that itwill fit your needs. An experienced webmaster may not need acontrol panel, but a control panel is a must for the rest of us.Are POP Email Accounts Available?Another aspect of web hosting service plans you may want toconsider are, the POP email accounts that may be offered. Mostbusiness plans will need email service from their web hostingplan. Check to see how many are available to you, if you thinkyou will need access to email accounts. What About FTP Transfer Limits?Again, be sure to look into the FTP transfer limits with the webhosting services you are considering. You want to make sure theweb hosting plan offers FTP transfer for your business needs. Most web hosts do not have limits on FTP use.Check out the web hosting plan to see if they offer unlimitedspace transfer. Read the terms of service to see if you canupgrade, if you need more space in the future. You do not wantto have a problem with the web hosting service if you use toomuch space on the server.By taking the time to shop around and compare web hosting plansand services, you will know you have made a well informeddecision.

Most webmasters on the net today are familiar with what theindustry calls “shared” web hosting accounts. A shared hostingaccount is where you rent a small amount of space on a serverwhich is shared among many other users. This is a cheap way to get started online but it has manydisadvantages – you will encounter email delivery problemsbecause of spam complaints against other sites on the sameserver. You will find your site’s grinding to a halt whensomeone else does some heavy database work on your server. Youmight even find your site going down because of a denial ofservice attack against someone else hosting hacking or piracyrelated material on your server (these type of sites attractantisocial elements!) How can you avoid all of this drama? By upgrading to a virtual dedicated server. A virtual dedicatedserver lets you run your sites as if you had your own”dedicated” server, except it is cheaper because you are reallyjust using part of a server that has been split into multiplevirtual dedicated servers. You can find out more about this by searching Google for”virtual dedicated hosting”. Virtuozzo is the main commercialsoftware that web hosts use to run virtual hosting services. You will find virtual dedicated server accounts starting at just$30 a month. You’ll get a much larger chunk of bandwidthcompared to shared hosting, and none of the problems that gowith a shared host. You can also get multiple IP addresses thatare exclusive to your sites. So what’s the catch? Not much. You’ll probably spend a bit moreon hosting each month. The main disadvantage of upgrading tovirtual dedicated hosting is that you will need to be moretechnically proficient so that you can administer the server. This requires a bit of time learning the necessary Linux skillsto make sure your server runs smoothly. Many hosting providers will have a “premium” support offeringthat includes a bit more hand holding – this is definitelyrecommended if you don’t have much experience with Linux, or arenew to virtual dedicated hosting. With the increased speed and bandwidth that a virtual dedicatedhost offers, and none of the shared hosting headaches, the moveis one you will never regret. So, the question now becomes, areto ready and willing to take-on the challenge of virtualdedicated web hosting and save yourself some hard earned cash? The choice is yours…

So you found a web host that you think will give you the serviceand quality you want, at a price you think is almost too good tobe true? If this is the case, be very cautious as there are somany “web hosts” out there that are not what they appear to be.So how can you tell, other than a fancy website and a possibly afew testimonials on their site, how do you know anything at allabout this web hosting provider? First, make sure they are aprimary web host. In other words, make sure they are not just areseller which is nothing more than a middle man between you anda web hosting provider. Go to www.domainwhitepages.com, type intheir domain name and make sure they trace back to a reputabledatacenter, like GNAX or ThePlanet. If so, most likely theiruptime and quality of servers stand a better chance of beingquality, provided they are kept up in good efficient condition. Also, you can go to www.whois.sc and do a search on a domainname or an IP address, it will even show how many websites arehosted on that particular server or shared IP. Also, look forhosts that use reputable hosting control panels, like cPanel,Plesk or maybe even DirectAdmin. Click through most of theirwebsite…are there any online tutorials and knowledgebases? Ifso, do they appear to be helpful? And by all means, watch thoseprices where they offer tons of space and bandwidth for very, very little. This is called overselling and if a host does this, you could end up on server that is slow and struggles to keep upwith it’s load. This would result in lost web site visitors dueto slow page loading times or even worse…downtime! Take yourtime and look, and unless you really get a good feeling aboutthe web hosting provider you are checking into, move on. You canalso do searches on web hosting providers online atwww.webhostingtalk.com
